An electronic disk device and a recording medium for thereof is provided to protect copyright automatically by checking a music source data including the copyright and setting the music source data as a dedicated reading/hiding attribute by force if the music source data includes a predetermined copyright. An electronic disk device(100) comprises a memory(140), a copyright checking unit(370), an attribute control unit(365), an authentication treatment unit(360), a memory control unit(350), and a memory input/output unit(355). The copyright checking unit checks whether predetermined copyright information is included in a music source data stored in the memory. The attribute control unit sets attribute of the music source data as a dedicated reading/hiding attribute by force if the predetermined copyright is included in the music source data. The authentication treatment unit certifies an application program accessing to the music source data, or certifies the application program converting the attributes of the music source date. The memory control unit only allows the certified application program to access to the music source data or to convert dedicated reading/hiding attributes of the music source data. The memory input/output unit controls input/output of the music source data on the basis of the memory attribute control performance of the memory control unit.
