The bearing has an outer ring (2), an inner ring (3), and a set of rolling units (5) arranged between the inner ring and the outer ring. A sensor strip (4) is arranged on the circumferential surface of the inner and outer rings. The strip has a preset active length (L), which is determined under consideration of the distance between the adjacent rolling units. The active length is a discrete multiple of the distance, of the adjacent rolling units, projected to the circumferential surface. The sensor strip is a strain gauge or PZT (lead-titanate-zirconate) fiber.
