A closure assembly, a method of assembling and closure assembly apparatus, wherein the closure 10 comprises a cap 12, an insert 14 disposed within an interior of the cap 12, and an annulus 16 a sealing medium, the insert comprising a generally cylindrical portion and a flange 32 disposed at a first end of the cylindrical portion, the cylindrical portion being received within a central aperture of the annulus such that the flange abuts the sealing medium, the annulus having a thickness of between 0.05mm and 0.35 mm and a radial distance between an outer circumference and a inner circumference of less than 4mm. The sealing medium may comprise a metallic foil coated with an adhesive. |
