A covering member for a display device and a display device having the same are provided to ground the covering members for the display device such as a top chassis and a bottom chassis with each other without using a special contacting member by integrally forming the contacting units in the covering member, thereby reducing the number of components of the display device. A covering member(70) for a display device comprises a supporting unit(71) which is prolonged along one surface of the display device, a side wall unit(72) which is prolonged along a side of the display device from the supporting unit and in which an aperture is formed, and plural contacting units which are prolonged from an edge of the aperture so as to be inclined from the side wall unit and faces the side wall unit by being bent as much as plural frequencies.
