A system usable with a well comprises a pump 30 to establish a flow through the well, a chemical injection line to inject a chemical into the flow upstream of the pump 30, a circuit to control the injection of the chemical to enhance a flow through the pump 30, and a heater 25 to heat fluid flowing into the pump 30 to enhance reaction of the chemical with the fluid. The controlling step may involve reducing the instability of a mixture flowing through the pump 30, reducing dynamic viscosity of a liquid phase of a well fluid, or inhibiting the formation of a product in the pump 30. |
