A mandrel for processing the semicircular spline grooves is made in the form of a holder with shank end, hard-alloyed mandrel elements in the form of balls, elements of fastening and guiding. The holder is made in the form of a stepped shaft of different diameters. The upper working part of the holder of mandrel is made in the form of a conical step with conicity which is equal to the value of lift for one ball and below is ended with coming out cylindrical band which diameter is lower than the mean diameter of the hard-alloy balls which interact with the conical step of the holder. This step interacts with inside diameter of the cylindrical separator, over external surface of which the through spherical openings are made which interact with the hard-alloy balls. These openings are located in rows, which quantity is equal to the quantity of spline grooves which are parallel to the axis of the holder with distances between adjacent spherical openings which are equal to (1.2-1.5) Dball. The upper end of cylindrical separator has a acuteangle, similar to lower one, and is in interaction with the acute angles of the clamps which are rigidly fastened with screws to the body of the holder and are installed in the cylindrical groove with inside diameter which is smaller than the inside diameter of cylindrical separator. U-shaped axial grooves are evenly made in the circle from the side of shank in the cylindrical separator. The outer diameter of separator is equal to the outside diameter of mandrel. The holder with hard-alloy balls is installed into the upper guide bush with semicircular spline grooves for hard-alloy balls with possibility of relative axial displacement. The U-shaped housing is installed by lower part horizontally on the plate of press. To the lower part of the housing is rigidly fastened the lower guide bush with internal semicircular spline grooves similarly to the upper guide bush.
