An animal excrement collector comprising a supporting base 2 having a first pad 21 and a plurality of first magnetic tablets 221, and a collecting device 4 (fig 1) having a second pad 41 and a plurality of second magnetic tablets 421. A flexible collecting bag 43 (fig 1) is connected to the second pad 41. The first pad and second pad are formed with a plurality of retaining holes 211, 411 distributed along their length in order to house the first and second magnetic tablets respectively. The first and second magnetic tablets are magnetically attracted to each other in order to fix the collecting bag to the supporting base. A harness is attached to the supporting base to secure the device to the animal. The pads can have a U-shaped configuration. The collection bag may have a cuff section into which the second pad can be inserted prior to attachment to the first pad. |
