A plasma display panel is provided to increase brightness and to improve productivity by enlarging a phosphor coating area in horizontal/vertical directions. A plurality of first electrodes and a plurality of second electrodes are formed on an upper substrate. A plurality of third electrodes(22) are formed across the first electrodes and the second electrodes on a lower substrate(20). A plurality of barrier ribs(24) are formed to define discharge cells between the upper substrate and the lower substrate. A plurality of grooves are formed at one side or both sides of the barrier rib. The groove formed at one side of the barrier rib is extended from a predetermined point to a bottom surface of the barrier rib. The predetermined point is between 0.04 to 0.25 times of a height of the barrier rib. |
