TRANSFLECTIVE DISPLAY DEVICE

A transflective display device is provided to implement a reflective type and a transmissive type only based on voltage application by mounting a polymer-distribution type liquid crystal layer in a transflective liquid crystal display module. A light source(28) is placed at one side of a light guide plate(21). A reflective plate(20) is placed under the light guide plate. A first electric-field control liquid crystal layer is placed on the light guide plate. A first polarizer plate is placed on the first electric-field control liquid crystal layer. A second polarizer plate is placed on the first polarizer plate, and has a polarization direction orthogonal to the first polarizer plate. A liquid crystal layer(26) is placed between the first polarizer plate and the second polarizer plate. A first voltage supply unit applies a voltage to the first electric-field control liquid crystal layer. A second voltage supply unit applies a voltage to the liquid crystal layer.
