A light emitting diode package and a lighting apparatus using the same are provided to reproduce various colors, realize color motion pictures and acquire a thin-film liquid crystal display by using two green LED with different wavelengths. A lighting apparatus(100) includes a printed circuit board(120) and one or more light emitting diode packages(130). Circuit patterns(121) corresponding to power supply lines, control lines, output lines are formed on the print circuit substrate(120) for operation of light emitting diodes(136-139). One or more light emitting diodes packages(130) are arranged in a predetermined interval. The light emitting diode packages(130) a submount(132), the light emitting diodes(136-139) and an electrode terminal(134). A groove(133) and a side wall(134) are formed inside the submount(132). The light emitting diodes(136-139) are mounted on the groove(133). Each of the light emitting diodes(136-139) are mounted in the form of a chip.
