A strip side guide apparatus is provided to dispense with assembly and disassembly of a guide by equipping a grinder for grinding a surface of the guide by sliding along a support. A strip side guide apparatus comprises guides(30) and supports(10). The guide has curved part, a flat part, and a grinder(20). The curved part is shaped like an arc protruding toward the center of a strip moving between the guides. The flat part is formed under the curved part to contact to the strip. The support is mounted to the guide in parallel to the processing direction of the strip. The grinder moves along the support to grind the surface of the guide. The grinder is moved by a wheel motor(22).
