A method and an apparatus for generating steam are provided to maximize thermal efficiency and improve productivity by obtaining the steam by directly contacting inserted energy to fine water particles. An apparatus(100) for generating steam includes a gas supply unit(110), a high pressure vessel(120), a heat supply unit(130), a water supply pump(140), and an ejection nozzle(150). The water supply unit supplies anyone gas selected from a group consisting of natural air, inert gas and compressed gas thereof. The high pressure vessel is connected to the gas supply unit to supply a space for generating vapor with high temperature and pressure. The heat supply unit supplies the heat energy to the high pressure vessel. The water supply pump supplies the water to the high pressure vessel. The ejection nozzle ejects the water supplied from the water supply pump in the high pressure vessel. |
