REINFORCED EARTH RETAINING WALL HAVING A SLIP JOINT

A reinforced earth retaining wall having slip joints is provided to prevent outer surface materials from being cracked due to the differential settlement, and to increase structural stability of the reinforced earth retaining wall by allowing the outer surface materials to be vertically moved through the joint. A reinforced earth retaining wall(100) having slip joints(140) comprises a plurality of outer surface materials(120), and at least one reinforcement(130). The outer surface materials are continuously placed on a foundation structure. The reinforcements are buried in rear fillers of a banking part at the rear side of the outer surface materials. The joints are placed between adjacent outer surface materials to allow the vertical slip movement between the outer surface materials. The joint is composed of a front body(141), and a rear body(142) placed between side surfaces(124) of the outer surface materials. The front bodies have rear surfaces to line-contact front surfaces(122) of the outer surface materials.
