A method and a device for detecting a feature image are provided to suggest an image correcting method to correct the feature image including a dangerous image and an edited image corrected with the fast correction method to suggest direction for correcting the feature image to a corrector. A database(1170) stores correction samples of the feature image. A detector(1000) detects whether the feature image is included in an inputted target image. A searcher(1010) obtains the correction sample by searching the database with a feature reason of the detected feature image if the feature image is included in the inputted target image. A generator(1020) generates the correction method by applying the correction sample to a feature part of the feature image. An output part(1030) outputs the feature reason, the feature part, and the correction method for the detected feature image. The correction sample stored in the database is the information matching the correction method to the feature reason extracted from a difference between the feature image before and after correction.
