A system and a method for improving my location search service in a mobile telephone terminal are provided to receive my location search service in a mobile telephone system when the my location search service is unavailable in a mobile telephone terminal due to errors of the mobile telephone terminal. A system for improving my location search service in a mobile telephone terminal comprises the followings: a mobile telephone terminal(10) for using a my location search service; a mobile station and a switching system(20) for receiving my location information from PDSN(Packet Data Serving Node) and transmitting the received information; a PDSN(30) for receiving my location information from the location information providing server and transmitting the received information to the mobile station and the switching system; and a location information providing server(40); and a location information managing server(50).
