The view-through cellular window covering (10) includes a plurality of cells (12) arranged parallel to one another. Each cell (12) has at least one side (22, 24, 26, 28), and a joint (31) unites adjacent sides of each cell (12). The adjacent sides of each cell (12) are pivotable about the joint (30) such that each ce ll (12) is variably adjustable between a collapsed position and an opened position. A first cord (14) includes a plurality of elements (32) positioned therealong, and each of the elements (32) is engaged to or otherwise attached to one of the upper sides (22, 24) of a corresponding one of the plurality of cells (12). A seco nd cord (16) includes a plurality of members (34) positioned therealong, and ea ch of the members (34) is engaged to or otherwise attached to one of the lower sid es (26, 28) of a corresponding one of the plurality of cells (12). By longitudinally moving the cords (14, 16), the plurality of cells (12) can be adjusted betwe en the collapsed position, where adjacent cells (12) are separated, and the opened positioned, where adjacent cells (12) contact one another. By collapsing and expanding the cells (12), the window covering (10) of the present invention can achieve adjustable light-control, modulatable view through, light diffusion, excellent insulation value, all in an aesthetically pleasing design.
