A heater assembly for a microwave oven and a microwave oven having the same are provided to more simply radiating heat from a ceramic heater. A heater assembly for a microwave oven includes a cavity assembly(30), a door, a cooking chamber(31), a rear plate(35), an upper plate(33), a cooling fan assembly(37), a magnetron(38), and a high voltage transducer(39). The cavity assembly includes the cooking chamber. The cooking chamber is selectively opened or closed by the door. The rear plate is formed at a rear surface of the cavity assembly. The upper plate is formed at an upper surface of the cavity assembly. The cooling fan assembly is installed at a front end of the upper plate. The magnetron and the high voltage transducer are installed at a rear end of the upper plate.
