A control device of an automatic transmission is provided to secure response of coupling pressure of a frictional element at a coupling side, to suppress a time variation to a coupling starting time, and to prevent the generation of oil pressure vibration. An automatic transmission couples a first frictional element and releases a second frictional element. A shift determination unit is formed to determine a shifting state of the automatic transmission. A line pressure control valve controls line pressure by draining output pressure of an oil pump. A line pressure control unit controls the line pressure control valve. A first coupling pressure control valve is formed to control the line pressure by using the coupling pressure of the first frictional element. A first coupling pressure control unit controls the first coupling pressure control valve. An oil temperature detection unit detects oil temperature in the inside of the automatic transmission. A coupling pressure control unit performs a maximum oil pressure command to execute a shifting operation when the shift determination unit determines the shifting state at the oil temperature less than the predetermined temperature. |
