An engine is provided to rapidly release an ignition angle after cold start, thereby compactly disposing a timer. An engine includes a crankshaft, a timer(20), a temperature detection operation member(7), and an oil pump. The timer is installed adjacent to the crankshaft. A linkage downstream part(2) is connected to a linkage upstream part(1) adjacent to the crankshaft through the timer. The temperature detection operation member detects a temperature to operate an ignition device of the timer during cold start when the temperature is lower than a predetermined value and release the ignition device of the timer during hot start when the temperature is more than the predetermined value. The oil pump is in communication with an oil supply port to supply engine oil in the engine to make the engine oil in contact with the temperature detection operation member.
