An imaging device, an electronic device, a display method, and a program are provided to improve the user's convenience by systematically displaying functions provided from the electronic device through a GUI(Graphic User Interface). A function table(501) categorizes and stores the functions of the imaging device. An icon table(502) stores category icons representing each category and function icons representing each function. A category display controller(241) displays the category icons in a horizontal direction. A function display controller(242) displays the function icons, which is an object operated by manipulation, corresponding to the category in a vertical direction. A manipulation receiver(210) receives the manipulation for selecting the fundamentally icon displayed by the function display controller. The function table stores a function explanation of each function. A function explanation display controller(243) displays the function explanation corresponding to the function.
