A semiconductor memory device and a data transmitting/receiving system are provided to reduce the number of ports by considering the increase of the number of ports in order to form a dedicated pin for outputting a readable signal. According to a semiconductor memory device, a power supply circuit(103) outputs a power supply voltage used in reading data. A power supply circuit state judgement circuit(104) judges whether the operation state of the power supply circuit is a state capable of performing normal data read. The output of the read data is suppressed, during the period where the operation state is not a normal data read state. The power supply circuit includes a boosting circuit.
