An air purifier is provided to prevent the lifetime of the air purifier from shortening by deterioration of electrodes due to using an electrode-less lamp and an amalgam gas, and reducing mercury pollution by destruction of the lamp by having eternal lifetime due to using no wavelength changing materials such as fluorescent lamp. A resonance cavity(20) is installed at an inside of a rear panel of a body(10), wherein the resonance cavity has a reflecting plate(21) for emitting UV rays through resonance of microwaves. At least one electrode-less UV lamp(30) is installed within the resonance cavity. The electrode-less UV lamps has amalgam gas sealed therein. A honeycomb window is disposed at a UV emitting region of the resonance cavity. The honeycomb window has a plurality of cells for preventing the leakage of electromagnetic waves and transmitting UV rays. A waveguide(40) is installed below the resonance cavity. A magnetron(50) is installed below the waveguide, wherein the magnetron has an antenna for receiving electric power from a power supply unit(60) to generate microwaves.
