A connection terminal for a superconductive cable is provided to facilitate a cable coupling process by enabling a user to couple two cables with each other without cutting a portion of the cable. A connection terminal for a superconductive cable couples one end(10) of the superconductive cable with a normal conductive material. The end of the superconductive cable includes a cylinder central support unit(12), superconductive layers(14,16), and an insulation coating(18). The superconductive layers are arranged to enclose the central support unit. The insulation coating encloses the superconductive layers. The end portion of the cable is peeled off to expose the superconductive layers. A portion of the exposed superconductive layer is removed to expose the central support unit. The end includes a metal sleeve(30) and first and second two coupling portions. The first portion(32) encloses an exposed portion of the central support unit. The second portion(34) encloses the exposed portion of the superconductive layer. The first and second portions are welded to each other.
