A method for detecting a DC offset of a current sensor and an ECU(Electronic Controlling Unit) thereof are provided to prevent a torque ripple from being generated in current supplied to a motor. An ECU for detecting a DC offset of a current sensor detects torque generation from a torque sensor(110), controls a motor(170), and includes an inverter(140), current sensors(150,160), and an MCU(Motor Control Unit)(130). The inverter(140) transmits supply current to the motor(170). The current sensors(150,160) detect and transmits the supply current. The MCU(130) receives the torque from the torque sensor(110), controls the inverter(104) to supply the supply current by calculating control current according to the torque, and detects and compensates the DC offset of the current sensors(150,160) by changing a driving method of the motor(170) to a six-step method. |
