<p>A video and audio processing system, a video processing apparatus, an audio processing apparatus, an output device, and a system control method are provided to prevent the delay of reproduced audio and video, namely, the delay of a lip sync by processing the delay of a suitable audio signal in suitable timing. A video display device(3) includes a video signal processing unit(32) and a control unit(33). The video signal processing unit(32) forms a video signal of certain image quality from video data outputted from an audio output device(2). The control unit(33) controls the process of the video signal processing unit(32) on the basis of at least one of a format of the video data outputted from the audio processing device(2) and a set signal processing mode. When contents processed in the video signal processing unit(32) are changed, the control unit(33) receives the image data and specifies a processing time necessary for processing and displaying the video signal in the video signal processing unit(32). A video and audio processing system delays an audio signal supplied to a speaker to be synchronized with the displayed video signal on the basis of the specified result of the control unit(33).</p> |
