A system and a method for providing auto-filled recommended words by correcting and displaying the auto-filled recommended words are provided to obtain a better search result by correcting and displaying the auto-filled recommended words which are exposed in real time according to a search keyword input of a user. A search index database(301) indexes and records a search query according to a grapheme unit, a phoneme unit, or a suffix. An auto-filled recommended word extractor(303) extracts the auto-filled recommended words related to the keyword from the search index database by receiving the keyword from the user. An auto-filled recommended word corrector(304) corrects the extracted auto-filled recommended words based on a predetermined recommendation rule. An auto-filled recommended word display part(305) displays the corrected auto-filled recommended words. The keyword index database includes the search frequency of each keyword, and arranges and records the search logs in the search frequency order. The auto-filled recommended word extractor extracts the predetermined number of auto-filled recommended word lists arranged in the search frequency order from the keyword index database.
