A wireless voice call system using ZigBee standards and a method for transmitting and receiving calls using the same are provided to transmit voice signals in accordance with ZigBee standards by installing a ZigBee-type wireless transceiver module at a voice signal transceiver device, coding a voice signal according to an ADPCM(Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation) scheme, and carrying a ZigBee standard frame with the coded voice signal data. A wireless voice call system using ZigBee standards comprises a mobile voice call device(12) and a coordinator(10). The mobile voice call device(12) has a ZigBee-type wireless transceiver part and a wireless voice call part. The coordinator(10) has a wireless transceiver part and an interface part. The wireless transceiver part performs ZigBee-based wireless transmission and reception with the mobile voice call device(12) and other peripheral devices. The interface part, connected with an external communication network, transmits and receives voice signals with the mobile voice call device(12). The mobile voice call device(12) and the coordinator(10) respectively compress and code voice signals in transmitting and receiving them.
