A perfume yarn and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to maintain perfume property of the perfume yarn for a long time without deterioration of physical property, by adding perfume powder during a base step for forming a yarn. A perfume yarn is manufactured by preparing a perfume master batch, preparing a base yarn using the perfume master batch, and cooling and drawing the base yarn. The perfume master batch is prepared by melting and extruding perfume powder of 3-30 wt% and thermoplastic resin of 70-97 wt%. The base yarn is prepared by mixing the master batch of 15-40 wt% and synthetic resin of 60-85 wt%, and melting and spinning the mixed product.
