#CMT# #/CMT# The seat has an air bag safety device (30) that is mounted mobile with respect to a base (10), where the safety device is deployed during an impact. The safety device has a safety module (35) mounted on a support (32) that is mounted in pivot connection around a transversal axis (40), on a flange (12) of the base. A guiding unit (50) is provided at the rear of the support and guides the movement of the safety device with the module. The unit has a recess (52) in the support and a corresponding piece (54) on the flange of the base. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used in a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The orientation and positioning of the air bag safety device can be modified according to the inclination of a backrest with respect to the base of the motor vehicle, thus providing an increased safety for entire comfort range of the seat without increasing the dimension of an air bag and capacity of inflation gas generator. The safety device ensures sufficient resistance to air bag deployment forces even in case of adjustment of the position and placement of the safety device. The mobility of the safety device permits to optimize the encumbrance and cost of the device irrespective of placements and adjustments of the safety device.
