A method for reading data of a CPU and a recording medium storing a program thereof are provided to read the data having a bigger bandwidth than 8 bits without reducing a processing speed by using an 8-bit CPU of which commands do not occupy a big area in a program memory. A control output of the CPU having an m-bit processing unit is adjusted according to the bandwidth of a connected peripheral. An address of the peripheral storing the data to be read and the address for writing the data are transmitted to the peripheral. The data received from the peripheral in the m-bit unit is stored in n accumulators of the m-bit unit corresponding to the writing address. The data is stored in each accumulator as partial data of the m-bit unit at the same time.
