<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves determining an encoded key by using a disjunction between sets of reference biometric data and biometric data and determining if two sets of biometric data mutually correspond by comparing information concerning two encoded keys. The sets of biometric data are expressed in a multidimensional repository with N dimensions, where the biometric data according to one of the N dimensions is obtained by using processes related to a biometric part. One of the keys is obtained by encoding transforming an initial word of specific length into an encoded word in the repository. #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for processing biometric data related to a biological part in a biometric system (2) a biometric data processing system comprising a biometric data processing device. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for processing e.g. recognizing, biometric data related to a biological part of a person, in a biometric system (claimed) e.g. access control system, authentication system and identification system, for determining whether the person is authorized to access a protected location or for authenticating or identifying the person, where the biological part corresponds to a fingerprint or an iris or face of the person. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The method allows to express the biometric data in the multidimensional repository, thus permitting to consider a large quantity of information related to the processed biometric data, and hence permitting to improve the efficiency and reliability of the biometric processing.
