An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) inverter is provided to reduce a manufacturing cost of the LCD inverter by removing an external dimming circuit from the LCD inverter. An LCD inverter includes a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) controller(21), a switch(22), a transformer(23), a lamp, and an inner dimming circuit(24). The PWM controller generates different pulse widths according to a voltage, which is fed back from the lamp, and an input dimming signal, and generates a square wave signal. The switch is switched according to a signal, which is outputted from the PWM controller. The transformer steps-up the voltage from the switch to a high voltage, and outputs the high voltage. The lamp is driven by the high voltage from the transformer. The inner dimming circuit overlaps a voltage of an inner regulator in the PWM controller with an input voltage. |
