An apparatus for machining a light guide plate is provided to improve brightness of the light guide plate and obtain a uniform light refraction angle of the light guide plate by smoothly forming an inner wall of a groove while transferring a machining tip at constant speed. In a stable mount unit(100), a light guide plate(L) is stably mounted. A transfer unit includes magnets(210,310) which are arranged to alternate different polarities and are combined with the stable mount unit to be fixed, and cores(220,320) wound with a coil for forming a magnetic field so that a magnetic field of the magnet and attractive force or repulsive force are generated according as currents are applied. A power unit alternatively applies currents to the core so that the core is transferred in an arrangement direction of the magnet. A machining unit(500) is combined to be transferred according to the transfer of the core and forms a pattern in the light guide plate as being linearly transferred. |
