CURRENT COLLECTOR, NEGATIVE ELECTRODE AND BATTERY

A current collector, an anode containing the current collector, and a battery containing the anode are provided to suppress the crack of an electrode or the generation of insulation and to increase capacity. A current collector comprises a first main surface(11a) and a second main surface(11b) which have different roughness. Preferably the roughness of the first main surface is higher than that of the second main surface. Preferably the average roughness of the first main surface is 0.2 micrometers or more. The battery has an active material layer formed on the first main surface of the current collector of the anode. Preferably the active material layer comprises tin(Sn), silicon(Si) or metal lithium(Li).
