PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount receptacles on a printed board in a connected state by combining them in an arbitrary number of poles, and to partially disconnect a fitted plug. SOLUTION: This connector is composed of: a receptacle 1 composed by forming, into an E-shaped form, projecting parts 12 and 13 at both ends and a central projecting part 14, and inserting pin contacts 17 into holes bored in trough parts between the respective projecting parts; and a plug 2 comprising a plug housing 3 having two plate members facing to each other, and four or more even number of spaces partitioned by partitioning plates, and having holes 35 for inserting pins 8 of wires 81 therein formed above the respective spaces, socket contacts 4 each comprising a box-shaped connection part having a bottom side and a pair of elastic catching pieces 42 each having a guide surface formed at a tip, and inserted into the respective spaces, and a sealing block 5 holding the box-shaped connection parts of the socket contacts 4 and fitted under the plug housing 3. The receptacle 1 has a projection and a depression tightly connectable to each other, and the interval of the pin contacts 17 is constant even when connected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
