PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide battery charging equipment of a gas turbine generator for starting charging to a built-in battery by the charging equipment, when voltage of the built-in battery is low, by determining the existence of the built-in battery, when starting an external battery. SOLUTION: This battery charging equipment has a battery power source line supplying DC electric power to a starter of the gas turbine generator, a battery heating detecting thermal switch for detecting the existence of the built-in battery, a thermal contact for detecting ON/OFF of the thermal switch, a battery voltage contact for detecting voltage of the battery power source line, and a built-in battery determining circuit. The external battery is separated after starting the gas turbine generator. When the thermal contact is ON and the battery voltage contact is OFF or when the thermal contact is OFF and the battery voltage contact is OFF by the built-in battery determining circuit, it is determined as "the existence of the built-in battery". When the thermal contact is OFF and the battery voltage contact is ON, it is determined as "the nonexistence of the built-in battery". COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
