PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a bus bar side terminal easily to a coil side terminal even when the positional precision of the bus bar side terminal and the coil side terminal is low. SOLUTION: The stator for rotary electric machine comprises an annular stator core 1, a coil 5 wound around the stator core 1 through an insulator 4, a coil side terminal 10 secured to the insulator 4 and connected with the coil 5, an annular bus bar unit 3, and a bus bar side terminal 15 provided at a position corresponding to the coil side terminal 10 of the bus bar unit 3 wherein the coil side terminal 10 has a U-shaped metallic joint 11 opening in the circumferential direction of stator, and the bus bar side terminal 15 is connected with the joint 11 of the coil side terminal 10.
