PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent improper transmission of a fax and to prevent decrease of operational efficiency of clerks in charge in shops. SOLUTION: If a fax server 6 receives image information of a document and fax information consisting of a fax number of a customer of destination and so on from a fax machine 1 of a shop A, for example; then the server 6 retrieves customer information corresponding to the received fax number from a customer database, and transmits the retrieved customer information to shop terminals 5 of transmission acknowledgers registered in the customer information together with the image data. In a situation where the image data and the customer information are displayed in display means in the shop terminals 5, the server 6 receives information on accessability of transmission inputted from input means by the transmission acknowledgers, and if the information on accessability of the transmission shows consent to transmission, then the server 6 transmits the image information to the customer's fax machine based on the customer's fax number.
