PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and light-weighted radiation detector capable of preventing an inside of the radiation detector from being brought into a high temperature condition, capable of operating normally a radiation conversion layer for detecting (converting into an electric signal) a radiation, and allowing precise detection. SOLUTION: The inside of the radiation detector is cooled by providing a ventilating fan 7, gel for a DC/DC converter, a heat radiation plate 5 for the DC/DC converter, gel for an amplifier and a heat radiation plate 8 for the amplifier, without using a liquid-cooling type cooler, a shape is thereby precluded from getting large, and a weight is thereby precluded from getting heavy. Heat generated in am amplifying part and the DC/DC converter is made to go out efficiently from a casing itself and an exhaust port of the radiation detector to prevent the inside of the radiation detector from being brought into the high temperature condition.
