PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stop plug for a glove port which saves an unnecessary replacement of gloves by blocking the glove port in view of the trouble in the maintenance/management of it because of the necessity for the replacement of gloves and other work on them during the storage of a glove box though it remains stored until it is closed down especially if it handles radioactive substances. SOLUTION: A port cover 20 shaped like a hollow truncated cone is fixed onto the glove port 3 by fastening a fixing bolt 23, with a leg part 22 of the cover 20 put into contact with a wall surface 1a of the glove box 1. A sealing member 26 is placed on a tip face of the leg part 22 to secure the airtightness of the leg part 22 and the wall surface 1a. A fitting hole 21a penetrated by the fixing bolt 23 is blocked up through the intervention of a sealing member 25 between the fixing bolt 23 and a lid part 21.
