PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio system capable of preventing radiation of high-band noises to the outside of an apparatus, even when speakers are directly driven with an audio signal output from a switching circuit section. SOLUTION: The audio system is configured so that a digital amplifier substrate 10 on which a switching element for performing amplification using ON/OFF processing is mounted is arranged with a predetermined distance in the vicinity of rear of each of speakers 6 in a speaker box 16 having the attached speakers 6. With this configuration, the digital amplifier substrate 10 can be housed into the speaker box 16 and the digital amplifier substrate 10 and the speakers 6 can be easily shielded from electromagnetic waves using a common first shield 13 without impairing the acoustic characteristics of the speakers 6.
