A rotary input device is provided to increase the convenience of usage and a sense of beauty by illuminating a wheel and a center key through a light-emitting element. A rotary input device comprises a wheel(11), a center key(29), a magnet(13), a hall sensor(35), a light-emitting element, a PCB(Printed Circuit Board)(31), a base(39), and a holder(15). The wheel(11) has an insertion hole(14) at its center. At the edge of the wheel(11), a light projecting part is formed. The center key(29) is inserted into the insertion hole(14). At the edge of the center key(29), a light projecting part is also formed. The magnet(13), attached to one side of the wheel(11), interworks with the wheel(11). The hall sensor(35), located opposite to the magnet(13), detects the rotation of the magnet(13). The light-emitting element diffuses light to the external through the wheel(11) and the center key(29). The hall sensor(35) and the light-emitting element are mounted on the PCB(31). The PCB(31) is fixed to one side of the base(39). The holder(15), combined with the base(39) and inserted between the wheel(11) and the base(39), rotatively supports the wheel(11). |
