THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER AND A MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

A method for preparing a thermoplastic elastomer is provided to improve the processability of a thermoplastic elastomer obtained by crosslinking of EPDM rubber and a polyolefin resin. A method for preparing a thermoplastic elastomer includes the steps of: blending a polyolefin resin with EPDM(Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber and pelletizing the resultant blend; and carrying out dynamic vulcanization of the pellets obtained from the preceding step with a phenolic solution containing 10-60 wt% of a phenolic resin and 40-90 wt% of process oil whose aromatic content is at least 3%. The polyolefin resin includes a polypropylene resin.
