A pedestal for use in a sit-up exercise is provided to allow an exerciser to adjust curvature and height of the pedestal, thereby optimizing an exercise intensity or level according to the state of physical strength of the exerciser. A pedestal for use in a sit-up exercise includes a hip-support mat(10) to be placed on the floor, a waist-support board(20) made of a synthetic resin having a resilient elastic force, and a curvature variation block(30) connected to both ends of the waist-support board to control the curvature of the waist-support board. The curvature variation block is constituted by a belt(31) connected to the waist-support board and a buckle(32) connected to the belt and used for adjusting the length of the belt. A reinforced protrusion(21) with a mounting hole(23) is formed on both ends of the waist-support board.
