A CEF(Contrast Enhancing Film) filter and a plasma display apparatus with the same are provided to reduce weight of the display apparatus by decreasing thickness of a base film. A CEF filter includes a base film(13), plural reflection diffusion layers(12), and address plural colored patterns(11). A width of the reflection diffusion layer, which faces a front portion of a display panel, is greater than a width of an opposite portion of the reflection diffusion layer. The reflection diffusion layers are included in the base film. A width of the colored pattern, which faces the front portion of the display panel, is smaller than a width of an opposite portion of the colored pattern. The colored patterns are included in the base film. A shape of a cross-section of the reflection diffusion layer and the colored pattern is triangular or trapezoidal. |
