An LCD is provided to reduce the moire effect by restricting the mismatch degree between a pattern pitch of a panel pattern portion in an LCD panel and a pattern pitch of a light condensing pattern portion of a prism sheet within a range of 0.3 to 0.7. An LCD panel includes a panel pattern portion(35), wherein the LCD panel realizes a predetermined image. A backlight unit irradiates the light to the LCD panel. A prism sheet is interposed between the LCD panel and the backlight unit. The prism sheet has a light condensing pattern portion(23) on a surface facing the LCD panel. A pattern pitch of the panel pattern portion, A, and a pattern pitch of the light condensing pattern portion, p, satisfy the following formula; 0.3 <= (A/p-N) <= 7, wherein N is an integer part of A/p.
