<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for concentrating a technetium-99m pertechnetate solution. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for concentrating a kind of technetium-99m pertechnetate solution comprises a concentration unit, a controller and a central arithmetic processing unit. The concentration unit is used for concentrating a technetium-99m pertechnetate solution, the controller is connected to respective parts of the concentration unit, and an automatic control program is stored in the central arithmetic processing unit. The automatic control program is executed through the central arithmetic processing unit, and on the basis of an operating procedure, the weight and activity of a concentrated technetium-99m pertechnetate solution are monitored, measured and controlled, so that concentration of the technetium-99m pertechnetate solution is automatically controlled. Thus, concentration quality and production efficiency of technetium-99m are enhanced, and the amount of radiation which production operation personnel receives can be reduced.
