<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify more neurotrophic factors in order to diagnose and treat disorder of nervous system. <P>SOLUTION: Isolated neublastin nucleic acid contains a sequence selected from a group consisting of (a) a specific nucleotide sequence, (b) a neublastin polypeptide that has at least 90% homology to a specific sequence, or a nucleic acid sequence that contains an open reading frame encoding a polypeptide derived therefrom when expressed, (c) a nucleic acid specifically hybridizing to a nucleic acid containing a specific nucleotide sequence on a high stringency solution hybridization condition, or a complimentary strand thereof, and (d) a nucleic acid that has at least 70% homology to a polynucleotide sequence existing as a specific nucleotide sequence. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
