PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact communication device capable of performing stable communication.

SOLUTION: This noncontact communication device is provided with a transmission/receipt means transmitting/receiving radio waves to/from a communication partner without any contact and a control means controlling the communication action. The transmission/receipt means can change a transmission/receipt property according to an instruction from the control means. The control means is provided with a communication type determination means determining the type of communication by the communication partner based on radio waves received by the transmission/receipt means and a transmission/receipt property change means changing the transmission/receipt property of the transmission/receipt means according to the determined communication type.
