<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set parameters etc., of automatic playing data, timbres, effects, etc., to an electronic musical instrument. <P>SOLUTION: On a panel surface 10a of the electronic musical instrument 10, an IC tag read part 15 (reader/writer) is provided adjacently to the left end of a music stand 10d. The music stand 10d includes a read trigger sensor 14. An IC tag is embedded in a music score and stored with equipment setting information such as the identification code, music name, timbre parameters, and playing position data of the automatic playing data. When the music score is set to the music stand 10d, the music score is detected by the read trigger sensor 14.
